Lighter sockets often suffer from debris and/or surface corrosion; (the former particularly if actually used to light cigars!).

I haven't no, I will have to have a check when I pull the lighter out sometimes the light goes off as if it's a loose wire |

My one has never worked and light around the cigerette light does not come on either, think it might be a fuse issue, can anyone tell me were I can find this fuse? And how to dismantle lighter unit just incase the unit is actually faulty and needs replacing |
