Trying to start my car, (MY2011 TDV6 HSE) press the button everything jumps to life, press the brake pedal to start and it just turns off again. Plugged in the IID Tool, nothing much came up to identify the error (usual lost communication messages).

I washed the car yesterday so wondering if water has got into any of the connectors under the wheel arches that people seem to mention all the time. However not sure what connectors to look for. On the nearside chassis at the rear there are multiple connectors, hard to reach but can see them just about.

Has anyone any ideas before I call Land Rover Assist? Was running fine yesterday......... Always happens when you are in a hurry to do something.

Any help would be appreciated guys.

Forgot to mention, as it turns off there is an orange engine light that flashes 2-3 times but does not stay on ....

Well blow me down. Called Land Rover assistance (after the IID Tool, and trying an ECU Reset) who were going to rush a tech out to me, their idea of rushing is tomorrow at 10:00, great service. Accepted the speedy response, then thought I'd give it one last try.

Same thing, turned itself off. Pressed the accelerator to the ground, tried again and it started up fine........

What is it with these things, it must have decided it wanted a Sat AM off.........
Hope it doesn't reappear....
