Pity that for your £100k Land Rover give you the same key fob as the cheapest Freelander2. You would think that somebody might have thought a bit laterally and made something a bit more special and individual to SVO and the SVR................ something you might like to show off.

That was my disappointment when he handed me my keys. I was hoping for something SVR special. Nevermind, I guess it doesnt really matter when they are hiding in the bottom of my handbag. 2012 Evoque

FWIW, the latest keys are much better than the early Evoque ones which were shiny plastic and scratched if you so much as looked at them.

Personally, I think the new keys are fine. I think less is more and I remember giving short shrift to the Porsche salesman who tried to convince me that an embossed Union Jack on the centre console lid of a 991 turbo S was a Good Thing. Mark

Agree Sally, I though it a little disappointing that the SVR key is no different to my previous L405 and 2 Sports.

Also, equally disappointing is the "SVR Premium Carpets" - which again are no different to the standard Autobiography ones. SOLD - 15 plate Estoril SVR

SOLD - 64 plate Aleutian Silver Supercharged

SOLD - 63 plate Corris SDV6 Autobiography

I wouldn't get too upset about which keys are for what; my friends AM DBS had the Sat Nav out of a Volvo...

Dickie it's the same with the "Premium" mats and Standard issue - the difference is a kind of "never mind the quality feel the width" it's all in the price - the more LR charges there is a perceived increase in quality that isn't really there Wink 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

About the mats , do the standard ones fit right across the rear , I thought the standard ones that come free with the car are 2 peace for the rear and the luxury ones fit right across to give you a mat for the center passenger in the rear ?

The only enjoyable part of mowing the lawn, half of the time, is getting to look at whatever is in the drive.

I said a little while back that I would let you know how far JLR had gone to make my purchase of my SVR so special. I think it is now safe to let on that they timed the launch of my car down the production line to be the one in front of this:

Outstanding service. Hence the reason I couldn't show the pictures.

Wow. Great story and gives a fantastic history to yours. 6 million is a great British success story. Wish they could make them quicker as still waiting for my first!

At least you know that yours is vehicle No 5,999,999 off all the various LR production lines! Is it reflected in the VIN ? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
