Hi,

I am planning to buy my second family car. I was looking at around £30k.

As I have gathered, I can get a 2011 TDV6 HSE for around 27-30K but I should go for new 2012 SDV6 model.

Am I right in thinking 2012 model will come with some good updates and I should spend a 4k more?

What else to look out for or are must haves when choosing used rrs?

I'm in the same position, looking to buy in a couple of months.
Would have to be a MY12 to get the newer spec, rotary selector would get me the 8 speed box?.
Like the idea of the powered tailgate.

We bought a 62 plate RRS HSE Luxury and I am sure that if you do not buy the MY12 model, you will look back and regret it. I have a 61 plate, got from a main stealer last Sep so paid premium. When purchasing I didn't realise the difference between mine and the 2012 models.
I love the car, stunning to drive. But I sometime wish I'd done a bit more homework and opted for the newer model.
