United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Sumatra Black

Mine has this issue. The region is the overlap between the arc of the two blades, and I susepct the slight difference in curvature between the blade and the bottom of the windscreen, where there the driver's side blade sits for most of its life, contributes to the cause.

Had this smear problem from new ( over 2 years) and tried all the suggestions on this site to remove problem. Just changed the wipers for a set of Bosch Aerotwins and problem has virtually gone immediately. IMO a much better blade for half the price of OEM.

Big Ben, Be interested to know if you still have a clear windscreen in a couple of weeks. Every time mine was "fixed" it came back. SDV8 arrived and fantastic even the infotainment!
1983 2 door Range Rover ARB Bar X9000 winch ARB Rear Bar now semi retired.
Many big trips done in this one.
1982 Rangerover nearly restored.
22 Defender D250 with lots of stuff for outback touring
Nice 2013 Freelander TD4 manual (for daughter to learn on) with much better stereo compared with previous SD4 SE with Meridian which sounded bad!
2013 Land Rover Defender ute.

After 65.000 km and 3 sets I found the perfect blades and I am very impressed.
Better than original and better than Bosch Areotwin is the SWF Visioflex, as the Blade is thinner than all others around an the aerodynamics are far better.

I took Article code 119764, this is for the two front blades for left hand drive, 24" and 21", that's bit larger passenger side blade, perfect working and a wider view now.
I am sure there must be a similar left hand drive code, look for Mitsubishi ASX from 7/10 onwards.

Best René

Look is OK:

Had same problem – long smear in lower, middle screen from tip of driver's wiper – and changed blades over 18 months ago but different outcome as no repetition.

Also had a chipped windscreen replaced soon afterwards so maybe the problem is in slightly imperfectly shaped glass which blades can't cope with as they lose their initial suppleness? Some say chips are common because the screen is particularly thin and light, so could also be less easy to shape perfectly (maybe I've been lucky with my replacement) and would explain why Aerotwin blades work as I assume they're designed to be pushed to the glass most efficiently.

I tried Aerotwins. Smudge came back after a couple of weeks.....I reckon it is the windscreen! SDV8 arrived and fantastic even the infotainment!

You can get a test for that. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

By the way, driven 3 days and 2500 Km in rain, its "the test", and the SWF blades are better than oem.

"But" think its not only a blades or window problem, it is the wiper arm, it doesn't give enough pressure down.
Will check this weekend the pressure compared to other cars...
