My 2008MY TDV8 needed a new thermostat housing (the one in the V of the engine as it had cracked). It was losing a little coolant over time.

Perhaps a sinking sensor float in the top-up bottle.

It does actually need the additional fluid |

It shouldn't use an coolant.

The EGR coolers can leak I believe. Won't be obvious externally if it's weeping in to the exhaust. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Common fault, dodgy sensor, mine comes on every f few months the disappears, sensor at the bottom of the reservoir renounced for false indication |

i have the exact same model and year ,,,, never topped it up since purchase ( nearly 2 years ) 2010 RRS, TDV8
