Insurance time again...

That time of year again, anyone have any good recommendations? Also, anyone know the factory fitted alarm and immobiliser specs?

Much appreciated...

I get a good price from Privilege, also NFU are worth a try they include 2 years new for old and off road cover.
LR insurance can sometimes throw in a good price also.

The alarm info should already be on the insurers systems.

Good luck

I may be wrong but I think NFU might only insure cars up to £35k 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

If you want off road cover you are limited to LR insurance and I heard that More Than cover off road. As for normal cover believe it or not Sainsburys were the best quote I got 2 months back. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Decided to leave my existing commercial insurer (cornhill) after they moved to a foreign call centre and when I phoned about a windscreen chip the woman on the phone did not have a clue what I meant Evil or Very Mad

Try Darren at A Plan on 01635 874646 -- he specialises in high performance/high value cars. Tell him Sean with the CLK55 recommended you.

He has been great with insurance for my CLK55, and I live in the worst postcode area, insurance wise.

I don't renew until March, but a colleague of mine just renewed with Liverpool Vic, who I'm currently with and they beat all his previous quotes so worth a rattle, I expect.

NFU were good for me even on a value of £59k. They also allowed me to 'add on' my horse trailer for £60 per year instead of the stand alone insurance for that which was £175.

They also charge very little (about £25 IIRC to pay by direct debit over 12 months)

Were NOWHERE near with a quote for our A4 though.
