Reading all the blown TDV8 engines posted on here I would be looking for a 3.0 TDV6 or if you can find an SDV6 on your budget even better |

Hi, there's a brilliant post on here called "TD V8 TURBO REPLACEMENT DIY" , I think if you read this one it may help you make your decision |

Yeah, you'd think that wouldn't you but I have the paperwork to prove otherwise... In reply to the OP, if you can get the SDV6 then that's the one to go for. Nearly the same grunt as the TDV8 and a more mature engine in terms of known issues etc. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

I've had mine for a year now and would buy another. I've the old shape but would like a 11 soon. I love love love the engine. It's a fab v8 and I picked this one as it already blew the two turbos. So I'm guessing there is a lot of road in it to it happens again. It's a great machine. My only troubles with it was bushes. Putting 22s on it next week which I'm excited about. |
