Yup, have racked up just shy of 30,000 miles in 14 months and have decided to chop in my BMW 520d for a 4x4 in the form of a 335d MSport xdrive Touring. I seriously considered the M3, but I do too many miles still to do it justice and I really needed the extra space the touring brings with it.

The 335d xdrive will do 0-60 in sub 5 seconds and still return just shy of 50mpg (.....if I don't get carried away ), so seemed the perfect compromise.

Can't wait, it's a factory order, so won't get it until mid-late March, but should be a corker. Have specced some nice toys too, amongst others the M performance brakes, so it should do well.

Nice choice BC. We can't get the X drive version here. Think I might go back to petrol next time, it's cheap here and I don't do many km.

@ Ady - I had to get something more practical for all the north/south courier runs I do

@ BKHK - I did think about the petrol, but the diesel fits better with my current circumstances mpg wise and the diesel/petrol differential is too close over here, so the extra return on a tank is noticeable......considered the M3 for a while too, but decided the touring shape was more important this time around. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Have got a set of Genuine BMW 17" winter alloys/tyres (OEM Dunlops circa 5-6mm tread) and a non BMW fitted boot mat (boot mat you can have for free if you can get collect, it's rigid so not really a postable item.)

Nice one Beany. Ive the 320D X Drive M Sport Touring, with the performance brakes, 19" alloys, 8 speed paddle shift etc etc. Mine is plenty fast but the 335 will be a beast It's the thinking mans 4x4
