Yes, they've not fitted/adjusted the epb shoes properly or you have a separate calliper issue, but the squeal indicates EPB. Bodsys Brake Bible

You can quite often get the small L shaped wedge where it doesn't sit in the right position on one of the shoes. You need to tap it back so that the spreader isn't forcing them apart too much.

I suspect that it was tight when they tried putting the disk back on, but they persevered instead of fixing the cause.

Did they carry out the bedding in process on the EPB with the new disks? (did they change the epb shoes as well?)

Perhaps send them a link to my brake bible.... Whistle Bodsys Brake Bible

Garage is now saying the actuator is fooked apparently one week after new discs and pads fitted, we have always used the epb for a year with no issues at all, not sure if they did something wrong or didnt wind off the handbrake, looks like another big bill coming my way Big Cry

It can be repaired if they can be bothered. I suspect that they didn't adjust the epb properly, causing the actuator to over extend and POP!

About £600 for actuator ISTR... plus fitting of course.... Bodsys Brake Bible

when the wife put the epb on this morning she said it was making a loud noise and didnt stop so she turned the car off,im assuming this is when the damage was caused, it took 25 minutes after that to get it to come off

If they did screw it up, don't let them go and screw up your new module. Whistle

Always worth having a go at repairing it first. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

The damage may have happened then but it was probably caused at the point they adjusted it. Wink Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK
