Get the Supercharged one. And a decent battery conditioner. Short journeys can be hard on the battery.

Supercharged. A life of short journeys in my TDV6 has proven petrol to be the better option and, let's face it, you only live once. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Would the CTEK stll be able to do its thing plugged into the cigarette power outlet in the boot if you don't have towing sockets? |

Only if you remove the relay for the sockets and hard wire them to be live all the time.

Thanks - that should do the trick, especially if I got the extension so I could leave the charger in the house (no garage) |

Pardon my lack of knowledge but what is a comfort lead? |

its the lead that comes with the ctek chargers and allows you to keep the lead connected to the battery, but have a waterproof connector elsewhere to make it easier for you to connect without having to open the bonnet. |
