Headlining RRS L320

I have discovered today the headlining in my L320 is loose behind the sunroof, how is it attached? Does it have some kind of clips I maybe able to re fix?
Thanks

Hi
It's glued to the hardboard liner. They all fail eventually

I have to admit mine never seemed overly secure either, the parts list only shows a couple of plastic clips at the rear edge lining which are attached to a bracket bonded to the headlining and then push into a bracket on the actual roof panel. The workshop manual makes no mention of any other clips that have to be released on the lining itself to remove it from the car. So not really sure what secures it around the sunroof area if anything, as mine does not vibrate, flex or make any creaking noises at all that I noticed never really bothered about it much.

Cheers
Col

Headlining

Thank you Col, it seem to be loose where it meets the rear of the sunroof, I will open the roof today and see if I can get an idea of what is allowing it to move 🤞🏻
You mentioned a workshop manual, where can I buy one?

Here is one option to download the various sections, but if you do a search for workshop manual download quite a few different options will come up. I do have a pdf copy of the 12/13 owner's handbook I put together if you don't have one already.

I did open my sunroof before and had a look but couldn't really see much without pulling on things, which I didn't want to do as said not really a major issue on mine, you may have better luck seeing something.

Cheers

Update

I discovered the edge of the headlining to the rear of my sunroof was held up with self adhesive Velcro pads less than an inch square, I managed to apply some thick superglue to the pads that had separated from the roof of the car and applied pressure for about 10 minutes which seems to have worked, so easy fix 🤞🏻

Must remember that if mine gets any worse or if I get the urge to have another look. Thumbs Up

I looked at my Headlining today and it seem to be the same, maybe that's how they are.
