I have a MY2015 RRS Autobiography Dynamic SDV6.
The car has the "Blind Spot Monitoring with Closing Vehicle Sensing and Reverse Traffic Detection"
After approx. one month the system stopped working properly. No detection of closing vehicle and random message of
"blind spot sensor covered!".
The car had the latest software update last month at the dealer and this doesn't solve the problem.
The closing vehicle sensing has no flashing whatever traffic on the road and the "BSM covered message" even appears with no traffic at all! Sensors and bumper clean!
Anyone else had this problem?

The system has sensors in the back bumper for closing vehicle detection and for blind spot detection.
Most probably this will be a hardware problem with the sensors.
Every time the message "blind spot sensor covered" appears, the monitor system shuts itself down during that drive.
When you stop the car (reset the system) and do a new trip, the closing vehicle sensor in the back bumper works fine until the closing vehicle is next to you. In the blind spot they give the fault message and shut the system down.
Sensors are going to be replaced under warranty and we will see.
