amber engine light on

when to start the car in the garage today and it wasn't keen ! normally starts with no trouble , seemed to be quite a lot of smoke come out the back , not much power and an amber engine light has come up on the dash ! its been fine all over the holiday period ! not keen on driving it until the garage opens on Monday but in the mean time does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be ?

2008 2.7 diesel by the way . thanks in advance

thanks turns out it is the egr valves and another £550 to part with , starting to hurt this car !

2008, is a Euro 4, you need to fit BAS emulators.
