If you are going to correct info, give the facts! BMW sold in 2000. Having googled rather than trusting my memory of dealer telling me of the change, I concur that Tata took over on 1/1/08 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

I guess the rear end is the weakest link followed by some questionable build quality..

In every other department this car is a massive and significant improvement over the old RRS...especially performance and

road manners...

Those who overlook the L494 solely because of the rear .. are simply cutting off their noses to spite their face..

I loved my 12 RRS... but the word dated springs to mind ....when side by side

It's nearly £20k more for an equivalent spec than my 62 plate hse lux was....
...and that fat Evoque looking back end hmmmmm.......manners and drive ability would have to. Be spectacularly improved to justify that extra cost...

I'll wait and see in a year or so if the initial yuk wears off and I can convince myself to try one.

Front and sides look nice...just that rear (barf)

Rear end is disappointing but much worse than that is the fake vents in the bonnet. Wtf were they thinking? I cannot stand form over function and this is an awful example of it.

Other than that, if it wasn't so much more money than my one I would defiantly toy have one on order as love the rest of it.

The old rear looks dated but tidy enough
The new rear still looks like a fat Evoque ....it's nowhere near as tasty as the front and side aspects of the new shape.
Pretty awful

The old shape is dated in comparison overall but it isn't let down by its rear the way the new one is.

I hope either a nice body kit might fix this or it gets sorted at face lift stage...
Either way it's pretty honky
Which is a damn shame as I'd really like to like it...had two new RRS now and number 3 would be welcome.
...but not looking like that....not even with a paper bag over it....
Sorry but that rear aspect fetches sticks....

Why are you so bothered about the rear of it?

You haven't even driven one, and it's not like you're going to see the back whilst driving... Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more...
