United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey

15 doesn't sound that bad to me on a 2005, But, as you say the maintenance on these is a Censored .

Before i bought my sport i ran a BMW 530 D for a couple of years, and i know you can be lucky or unlucky with cars, but, i only spent on servicing and deisel. This is an eye opener, even though before i bought, everyone said "deep pockets" "spend more time in the garage than on the road" "when things break - not if " Blah Blah.

Sorry, going on a bit Whistle

What you gonna replace it with ?

England 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Siberian Silver

I agree. It cost me £17900, plus £650 for a warranty, plus over a grand in non warrantied repairs on top of a grands worth of warrantied repairs, and there's a few common faults that haven't gone yet that probably would soon.
I have a 10 year old MX5 that I've had for 6 years and have done nothing but service it, so I really don't think the RRS is normal. I do accept that there is an element of luck involved- and also accept that I've been luckier than some who have had turbo, engine failure Etc , but that just scares me to death.
I've replaced it with a merc E280 estate, which will become my daily driver and replace my very elderly Honda CR-V and the RRS. I would have loved to use the sport daily but I was constantly worrying about it and I don't think that's right. I'll be back when I'm considerably richer and can afford a sport with a manufacturers warranty. I flipping loved it and will be upset when it goes, but reality bites.

i personally think that landrover are poorly built, yes i know theres an element of luck but ive had loads of other cars mainly all bmw and done nothing but service them, then the rrs is just something wrong every week but its not just me, i know 3 people near me all have disco 3s, all the same repairs as mine, 2 rrs owners all the same repairs as me, i know someone who sold their 12 plate rrs because it was such a lemon, and my dads had no end of hastle with 2 disco 3s then 2 disco 4s, just they all waranty repairs as he buys new, i think landrover have serious build quality problems

You did well on the price, I sold my 2007 RRS last year with 55k miles for 18k.

Good luck with the new Merc. I'd suggest joining the MBCLUB forum, plenty of info & help over there. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

Bladeboy - can totally relate to your comment "would love to use the Sport daily but worrying about it" - my Supercharged drank fuel for fun & cost me £500 in repairs the week I sold it. I now a 3 year old diesel RRS with warranty - I live in it - I used to cherry pick my journeys between the Sport & my wife's new Polo - NOT ANYMORE ( unless we go shopping ) Laughing I've already put the cash aside for the landrover extended warranty Laughing

Cant see myself in any other motor Very Happy

Good luck Thumbs Up 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............
17MY Autobiography Dynamic - Corris Grey - WOW.
14MY Autobiography Dynamic - SDV6 - Fuji White Smile
12MY Autobiography - SDV6 - Santorini Black - Dual View - Rear Entertainment - Sunroof.
12MY Autobiography - SDV6 - Orkney Grey - awesome ;(
2005 Java Black - 4.2 V8 Supercharged First Edition- will never be forgotten ;(
