I got the smartkey ping up on my dash eariler this week saying battery low So i got the spare key out of the safe, and baring in mind, that the spare key has never been used since the car was new March 2012, Its only been used for 3 days and today i get the smartkey low battery ping up on the dash again today Is it a coincidence that both keys require a new battery even though only one key has only ever been used Are these batteries a straight forward swap or are L/R going to have my pants down

According to the manual it is a regular CR2032 battery. Easily available and you shouldn't need the dealer to do it.

I liked how my older RRS used to charge the battery when the conventional key was in ignition  Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
