Thanks guys - gutted to see the car go, it's been the most reliable car I've ever owned (which I know can be rare for a RRS), and still turns heads in central London.

I'll leave it for sale only on the forum for a few weeks, as I'm keen it goes to an enthusiast. I've had a few trader offers at £18K, but I'd rather someone gets a fair price from within the community.

Its a clean looking car, very clean.

But I would rather a 2006 look like a 2006 car than pretending to be a 2010 car. Why didn't you code the grey tailgate strip? That would have made it look more 2010, wasn't that brought in on MY2009? It’s a fair question, though ultimately if you want a 2010-12 look car and don’t have £30K, this is the way to go. For me we've had the car since new, it is a great example of one, well looked after etc and so it wasn’t worth taking the risk of buying a newer car as Land Rovers can be such a lottery. I had a nearly new FFRR Vogue before the Sport and it was a nightmare for reliability.

Without the facelift I’d have it on the market for £17.5K. The facelift cost just over £4K as I used LR OEM parts (the front wings were £500 each for example), so my logic is for an extra £2K you get a newer looking car.

It may surprise you out in Australia, but facelift conversions of the early cars (most with 80-100K on the clocks) are up for sale in the UK for around £23-25K. Granted these are usually autobiographies, but its just a small tweak to mine if someone wanted that look.
