That looks like the ashtray insert. If it is that, what was it doing under the bonnet |

Christ now that you look at it so it is, and now you say it I wondered how icould see the wiring from the ciggy lighter! How on earth did it end up in there? I've just had the car a couple of months and it's the first time I've accessed the engine compartment.

Ha Peachy you posted as I was typing, I'm not a smoker so the lid is always shut but I did remember thinking it looked a bit odd the fag lighter body showing but just closed it and thought no more of it |

Did the same with a torch - not on the Sport but an old XR3i - jumped the battery in the dark - it stayed there for months |

Don't think I'll be needing tools in the sport engine bay, first modern motor I've had, I tended to buy old work horses. One look under the hood today was like wtf |
