Hi all, our car has been clunking the last few months under braking, probably getting worse, I have been informed this is due to needing new hydra bushes... Has anyone had these replaced and is it still ok to drive ?

Yes. Done loads of sets. Safe to drive, just an annoying knocking noise

You will probably find that the bolts will be seized inside the bushes and need cut out.
Generally, it is more cost effective to replace the whole suspension arm, as it works out cheaper with the saving in labour costs

How much we looking at? If we replace the whole lot to save on labour ... Thanks

Is this a job for any mechanic or more a land rover specialist ?

Any mechanic, then off to a specialist afterwards for 4 wheel alignment, many tyre centres have proper gear for this, suggest looking for someone with Hunter equipment. Paul Redding
