Hi All

My spare key failed several years ago. Have been using other key and now have finally changed the battery in
the spare. Still not working

There was no power at all in the old battery so my question is has the circuit board lost its memeory because of no power for a year or so or am i best to get new key from landrover?

I had the same problem - spare key supplied with the car had a flat battery but after changing the battery it still didn't work.

First get someone with a tester to see if the fob is transmitting a signal; if it is then have it coded to the car - takes a couple of minutes for someone with the right kit. Don't use a LR stealer though - they charge far too much. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Thanks for your reply. Is there a way of easily checking if the key is transmitting before i go and try and have it re-Programmed?

Not without a testing device. My indie keeps one on the reception desk - try ringing your nearest or maybe (if desperate) ask in Halfords if they have one  2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
