2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Low fuel warning and gauge on zero fault

Warning Low Fuel Message and light on dash also shows zero on gauge after £60 fillup.
Any alternative or is it a trip to the dealer?

What was the outcome of this?

I was greeted with a sudden fuel low message today, nothing on the gauge and zero range to empty despite having over half a tank full. I promptly filled it up to be doubly sure (pump stopped at 37ltrs) and the message remains.

3 months out of warranty of course!

Booked in and they fixed it during the day.
Tank was disconnected and dropped onto a cradle...tank was half full so no loss of fuel...
Some electrical connections or sensors changed and back on the road .
All done on LR extended warranty.Car was 40 months old.
Try a good independent if you can.

No too bad in the end, just shy of £200 at an independent. Very common issue, £6 in parts the rest is labour. 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG
