Hi Folks,

Hopefully someone can help me. I have experienced an issue a couple of times, when driving around 60 to 70 mph the car starts juddering. I pull over to hard shoulder and check over car. See nothing so start driving and the juddering has stopped.....

It happened this weekend then last time about 4 or 5 months ago.

If anyone has an idea what this might be then your advice would be greatly received.

The car is a 2006 2.7 Diesel with 106K, car is in great condition and serviced regularly.

More than likely the EPB needing attention. Probably seized shoes

Thanks for the reply, sorry what is the EPB.

"Seized shoes", Thought about that when I walked round the car. I touched each disc for temperature to see if they could have been locked up. Each of the discs were hot but the rear driver side was hotter than others so think that's what it might be.

EPB is the parking brake. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

If you put the transmission in Park and open your driver's door then operate the EPB you should hear the motor operate.

You could jack up the rear wheel you suspect might be binding and see if, when you release the brake you can turn the wheel. It won't rotate far unless you put the transmission in neutral but you should be able to tell if its free.

If you do put it in neutral make sure you chock the wheels to stop the car moving.
