United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Rimini Red
Help with buying a RRS

Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy a RRS, and originally I was after the TDV6 HSE model. I have had a test drive in a Supercharged and really liked it.
I saw on the dealerlists that there were many Superchargeds that I could have from new in about two weeks with the spec I want.
I assume these will be MY06 models.

As I am in no hurry for the car, should I wait for the MY07 spec - possibly even changing model to a TDV8 HSE ?

If you are not in a hurry wait for the TDV8 - The SC is a GREAT car but you will lose heaps on it as soon as the TDV8 is launched, also you will do almost bouble MPG with the diesel. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

I take your point about the depreciation, although my understanding is that the Supercharged version will still be the fastest model and will only be sold in the HST form - not to everyones tastes and more expensive. This may actually help the Supercharged version keep some of its value...

As far as I'm aware the HST will run along side the present SC styling. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Not so sure VA! the latest brochure that LR sent me as part of the non existant SC test drives Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad only showed the HST SC.

I was basing my views on the following information which may or may not be acurate.

2007MY changes

As detailed in previous Bulletins, there are also some revisions to the derivative range as follows:
S and SE TDV6 Unchanged
SE V8 Petrol Discontinued
HSE TDV6 and V8 Addition of:
• Dynamic response
• Brembo brakes
• PTI
• Centre console cooler box
• Power lumbar adjust
• Adaptive Cruise control (V8 only)
NB: 20" wheel and adaptive headlights will be stand-alone options on HSE
V8 Supercharged Only available as HST specification

OK I stand corrected, but when I was talking to the guys at Gaydon they said the HST was an optional version. Big mistake in my view if the HST is the only style for a SC. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I've just managed to get my hands on the 07MY Price list - issue 5 - 18th August 2006

TDV8
HSE - 52,842
HST - 58,612

4.2 V8 S/C
HSE - 57,047
HST - 62,947

So its looks like I was wrong and VA was correct...

Yes, appreciated there was a HSE and HST TDV8, didn't realise about the HSE SC. So the 07 HSE SC will be equivalent to the current plain ordinary SC?

Any chance of scanning the options lists that you have and uploading them to your gallery? They will be useful material for forum's use. Thumbs Up
