Gear selector broken!!!! Need help

Hi everyone today i fitted the ipod kit to my car and everything was going smoothly until i removed the gear knob and heard something snap and some small pieces of plastic later it's now clear what the problem is ive put it all back together and the gear selector wont click out of park any help would be great as i now have no car for monday unless anyone knows how to fix this
