Blackvue 550 would be my choice if I buy again, front and rear cameras as I keep finding the knobs are driving behind me and been missed by my front camera

I have the Blackvue DR500 HD and it produces great images.

One slight blot on the horizon is that just lately it takes almost 15 minutes before it gets a GPS fix and computes a speed record - this is only on the first trip of the day; after that it gets a fix within a few minutes.

Thinking it might be a dicky condenser battery I contacted Pittasoft this is the amusing (but useless) reply...

"Dear Customer,
It is not possible it can be seen separately from the backup battery performance of the customer.
I am sorry.
Please contact the dealer from whom you purchased if there is a problem.
If there is other inquiries
Please do not hesitate to contact us at as@pittasoft.com.

Sincerely, Pittasoft support team. Dong min baek Senior Engineer. Pittasoft Co., Ltd.
"

How long does yours take to first get its GPS fix ?

I have a road hawk forward facing camera, had it for 2 years, comes with plug in power supply, but can also buy a hard wired loom, very easy to fit, comes with 4gig memory card which lasts me about 3 days before it over writes itself. Very easy to view back on a PC, think it cost £200 then, but I know they have brought new ones out which are HD

I don't like them. Why do I want a spy in my car filming my driving? Most of the time it would be me speeding anyway. Don't any of you ever have a bit of a blast on the road?

^^^ I have the speed recording feature turned off in my Blackvue 500 settings. Not that I ever go over the limit but just to increase recording time by reducing data Whistle
