Yes, a flush is always a good idea as it helps to remove sludge which can cause blockages.

Debated many times on many forums. The consesus view is that oil flush is a bad idea because some of it will remain after the fresh oil is added and as it is a strong detergent it harms the lubrication properties of the oil.

thanks all,i did it this morning and flushed it,wish i hadnt now but i did leave it draining for about an hour and filled it with magnatec fully synthetic,hopefully all the flushing detergant came out silverRRS 2.7 TDV6 22"WHEELS FULL COLOUR CODE,STEPS,REMAP..gone

Its not called detergent oil for nothing and it will be in the filters and sump.
