2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

MOT

Firstly I tried to book my car in for m-o-t today, (prepaid for 2 mots and oil changes) I asked for Friday as that is when its due. Only to be told the first available slot is the 21st January.
Secondly I have noticed when the car was mot'd last year the garage where it was done put the wrong date on the certificate, ie they should have issued a 13 month certificate but they only issued a 12 month certificate. So can I get away with driving my car until the 21st or because I drive a RRS will they send me directly to jail without collecting £200.

it wont issue 13 months it the car had a month or more left on it when tested and if it runs out on friday you wont have an mot after that date

When did that change?
The previous dates are 11/01/11 to 11/02/12 then 26/01/12 to 11/02/13 then 11/01/13 to 10/01/14. As you can see there are two tests over the 12 months, but the last one has got the wrong expiry date unless the test rules have changed since the first two tests. Its still to be honest.

the last one needed testing on the 12th to gain the extra month

For the cost of an MOT circ £35, i'd take it elsewhere for an MOT and keep legal.

^^^ The MOT station won't have opened yet. Its only 07.43 here in the UK.
