United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
Hello - Another new member!

Hi,

Thought I should introduce myself, I've been stalking the boards for a couple of days trying to get an idea of what's going on and researching the RRS.

Anyway as a result, I'm looking forward to picking up a 2009-2010 RRS on Saturday morning, - Santorini Black HSE :

I'll probably do no mods to it, I'm going to drive it and enjoy it - however I've said this before on other cars and ended up doing something.

Had a FreeLander 2 HST and always swore it was the best car I'd owned.. unfortunately had to sell when the recession hit

and now back to prove myself wrong with a sport.

Anyways, How Do.. Smile

Hello and welcome Thumbs Up

The Freelander2 is a fab car...until you spend time in a Sport Cool 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Welcome! I'm a current FL2 owner, it has been the best car I have ever owned and has suffered no mechanical problems for the time I have owned it. I was ready to place an order for a new one, but after a test drive in the new RRS I was hooked!

Hopefully your new Sport will be troublefree! Thumbs Up Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Gone but not forgotten:

Looks like a lovely car Jolly Bodgup.

It shouldn't need modding. At least live with it for a while until you decide whether to butcher it or not Rolling with laughter

I am not keen on mods myself, just in case anyone didn't know!

Neither am I. My car will only be getting genuine LR parts such as mudflaps etc? Nothing too flashy. Wink Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Haha, no, not to worry. The name/handle comes from my obsession with classic VW's and decided carried the name on Smile

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I'll post some photo's in the My Range Rover section when I pick it up all shiny and clean (and in daylight).

Actually Ady, I dream of owning another one (as a second car) because I genuinely like them lots. I do enjoy the banter with you guys as well Laughing

But I am not an "off road" person, I live in a place where it never gets below 15 degrees in the daytime (44 degrees C forecast tomorrow, yuk) and Mrs BKHK loves her Mini so I can't persuade her to have an RRS.

I had always wanted an X6, it goes like hell and around corners like a 2.5 tonne go kart. We have pathetic speed limits here so a bit of a hoon around town is about as good as it gets, it makes me grin.

I will try to work on Mrs BKHK to tell her she needs an RRS.....
