Sat Nav info' please !

Hi everyone Very Happy ! Totally new to this site so please bear with me "IF" my questions have been asked before Embarassed ! I am the proud owner of my first (hopefully of many more) 2006 RRS 2.7 TDV6. I have just been on a "good run" to Aberdeen and back and noted the sat nav is way out of date Sad , therefore, how big a job is it to upgrade the same ? I would hope it's something easy like a disc swop ? "ANY" info regarding this would be greatly appreciated ! Razz Thanking you in anticipation Thumbs Up Best Regards "Lezzo"

Yes, it is just a disk swap, but a bit expensive.
The latest is the 2011/12, unfortunately it seems like LR will not come out with anything newer.

Have a look at this thread in the Disco site and get in touch with "The Large One"

I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil

Hi & welcome to the madhouse Thumbs Up It's a simple disc swap - the unit is under the passenger front seat. There is a a few suggestions on where best to get the updated disc - Landrover dealers or EBay Whistle mine was from a fellow forum member for less than £20 but that was 3 years ago. Big Cry 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............
17MY Autobiography Dynamic - Corris Grey - WOW.
14MY Autobiography Dynamic - SDV6 - Fuji White Smile
12MY Autobiography - SDV6 - Santorini Black - Dual View - Rear Entertainment - Sunroof.
12MY Autobiography - SDV6 - Orkney Grey - awesome ;(
2005 Java Black - 4.2 V8 Supercharged First Edition- will never be forgotten ;(

You can do a disc swap yes.

Find the seller Navcom on Amazon. About fifteen quid.

I wont post a link as the mods delete it here.

Instructions on how to get to the DVD unit under the passenger seat are in your manual (seat all the way forward and up and reach under the front to press the unlock and eject buttons). The system updates itself when it sees the new disc so you have to wait for the updating to finish. First boot after the update you'll find it has defaulted to Belgium as the country so you have to reset it to UK and you're done. Don't expect it to be that good though. A lot of us use sat nav apps on smart phones instead as they are a quantum leap ahead in terms of technology Thumbs Up 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
