Hey I'm not for helping the criminals you know.

All I'm saying if they want your lights they will do anything to get them off, if that means bending your tailgate then so be it!

It might take them ages to realise that they have security's screws fitted and they still can't get them off, you have stopped your lights from been stolen but now need a tailgate.

This is of course worst case, best case is they notice straight away and walk off to the next one.

They are two types of criminals, the one that plans and the one that doesn't, for all we know the ones that plan are reading this very thread and now know what they look like (the caps) but maybe be now put off or they might just now carry a crowbar the make more room. The ones that don't plan will be fooled as they will only have the tools they thought they needed.
