I was reading through this thread - when all of a sudden Shocked I'm lost - so did exactly what I did at home = cut out all the middle stuff - went straight to the end ------ ie paid my Techy lads from work to install a wireless network at home = Job done Wink

Probably, yes - but no experience of it to speak of. D-Link stuff can be a little bit cheap and nasty, but if you need it now, it'll probably be OK.

guess if i get router tommorow and laptop card, i can get that setup and when the desktop one arrives, can plug that in and do away with the bloody wire!

Rolling Eyes It's really not rocket science, MDP. Most of this kit is pretty much plug and go these days.... a friend of mine was going to pay someone to install his home network for him and the robbing little Censored was going to charge him £75 to do it!!

Dabs aren't necessarily the absolute cheapest, but I like them because of the delivery options they give you. Handy for that 15% margin, you see.
