Wake the ANZ Thread Up -RAN Review this weekend

Well with nothing better to do on the long weekend i was forced to attend the
Royal Australian Navy review to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the RAN..
tough being forced to drink, eat, good friends for company, and a fireworks
display at one of the worlds greatest backdrops Thumbs Up ..

No Zilchy, I am not in the Civil or Military helicopter business anymore, otherwise I would have been there in my old job. I have done the whole Garden Island Naval reception and lunch on Australia Day before, its a great time to be out on the harbour.

Actually the celebrations are not to commemorate the creation of the RAN - it is to celebrate the first Fleet Entry in 1913 after the purchase of a number of large ships from the UK.

The Commonwealth Naval Forces were established on Federation in 1901 and the name changed to the RAN in 1911. The ships including the new ones first entered Sydney as a Fleet in 1913 and this is what is being celebrated.

still waiting to hear 2nd, had 5 different interviews with the US company and now they are on a sales bootcamp..
Up against someone who is local (US anyway), so it depends on how easy it will be to get the VISA i would assume.. Another Pommie Bar Steward down under
