Has been covered a few times in other threads. One of the ECUs (don't ask me which one) has an energy management role. If the battery voltage is a little low then the ECU switches off power to some components such as the fridge, heated screens (don't suppose you have much use for those in Dubai) heated seats etc. so that more energy is available to turn the starter. You will find that if you switch the fridge off before starting the car and then try it again after say 10 minutes of driving it will probably come on. On later models (after 2007?) the fridge only works when the key is in the 'on' position. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE ![]() |
