just had quote from my independant dealer for 7 year sevice , replace front suspension arms and new front wheel bearing
£1695 all in genuine oem parts i know the 7 year service includes timing belts and tensioner but would you replace idler bearings aswell

Idler bearings are a must do to. Have never seen one fail, but for all they cost, it is extra piece of mind

really? I've priced all the parts up myself from dan at duckworts and just the parts alone come to £900 without oil and filter so you say about £750 labour is too expensive? Also my local landrover dealer wanted £900 just for the 7 year service without any of the other things

OEM cambelt bits are £150
OEM service kit is £50
Front arms are £131 each (aftermarket parts)
Bolts and washers for above are £25
OEM Front bearing is £111

All prices include VAT, BTW...

Parts come to £475, plus engine oil

I make it 6-7 hours labour, 8 tops if the lower arm bolts are seized, and allow for a wheel alignment...
