6m wait + purchase = oh ye...h?

Picked up my new motor after looking hunting for some time.

It's a 07 HSE TDV8 with 60k on the clock. Absolute cracker of a drive. i come from mainly bmw and jap cars background.

will post more pics but right now got more important things to worry about, such as the problem described in here:
http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic19047....+cornering

I pointed this out during the test drive but the lead technician's diagnostic tool didn't return any fault codes. They cycled the ignition back on and it went away and was told it's a red herring probably stemming from when they had the wheels refurbished and that if it happens again just cycle the ignition. We tested the suspension control and it was smooth so I took their word for it. Soon as I hit the motorway it came back on for the duration. Did pit stop and it disappeared after i set off again only to reappear later.

Booked in to the nearest 4x4 specialist recommended by the indy dealer's warranty company. Not sure what to expect as every thread ive read on this topic has resulted in different root causes. not going in until next week, so in the meantime would really appreciate some advice on anything i can check to determine if it is a red herring or if it is indeed not fit to drive.

also just noticed that rear tyre looks flat...not the greatest start Crying or Very sad

Use your centre screen to see if its actual or sensor related and check power steering fluid level as the active ride is controlled by hydraulic as well as air. Sounds like a height sensor issue. Mine does this if you cruise at or @ 95 mph ( in europe onviously Whistle ) where the system doesn't know whether to drop or not. At 96 the system drops Car to near access level to increase stability. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈

If it was a sensor you would have one wheel reading a different colour. Needs a fault code reading I fear. Check the fluid anyway, if it is low you will need to check why. That's where the bad news starts, but won't spoil your Friday night..... 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Check the battery, check the alternator. If both ok then it's time to check other things. Definitely requires the codes reading to see if anything is showing there. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

the dealer hooked it up to their fault reader and nothing showed up hence why they said red herring and just cycle ignition to "reset it"

Stick a meter across the battery and read the voltage when engine is off and when idling immediately after starting. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Yep. Ideal. Voltage should be 12 at rest and anything up to 15 when running.
Out of interest, what did they use to read the codes. Generic readers aren't great and you will need LR specific software and interconnect. I have a Snapon machine that cost three fortunes but it doesn't always pick up everything. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
