2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black

Noise From Power Steering

Hi All,

My RRS has now developed another 'characteristic'

When I turn the steering wheel I hear a 'servo' type whine, though not all the time. Checked the Steering fluid and all looks fine.

Had a search on here and it seems it might need some additive in the Power steering fluid

Anyone had the same issue and got the solution 'first hand' please

Well, I adjusted the rake/reach of my steering and gave it a good old move around in an attempt to get rid of this squeek and guess what it seemed to have worked

Early days but I've had a few whine free days - so I recommend the rest of you guys try this - if you haven't already.

Mine was sorted when the dealer changed the power steering fluid to special non squeeky stuff. Apparently its a known problem and there should be a TSB on it - maybe try Bobby's Gallery. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

I noticed this sound when the car is lowered.
What's this no squeaky power steering fluid thing-a-majig? 07 TDV8 + BAS map
