Running on fumes... SC converted to fresh air...

Not normally known for their fuel economy, my SC RRS has been burning fresh air...

Or maybe someone is telling fibs - Petrol Station or LR... Very Happy
- Must have gone 10 miles on 0 Range. Rolling down hill in neutral. Lovely...

Just managed to get 88.8 litres into a 88 litre tank.
- No, I did not brim it...

There is normally approx 2 litres in the filler neck, plus you will have been using fuel in the pump system etc so your actual fuel tank must have been pretty damn empty.
Did you have any miss-fire or anything to indicate you were almost out?

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Bali Blue

Last year on a trip to Cornwall I set out with the range counter showing I should have 50 miles left when I arrived. It steadily dropped, it was a 'spirited' run and with 20 miles to go hit '0' range. It was very hilly and after about 15 miles my nerve gave out and I filled up. I did fill it and can't remember what I put in but in theory I still had more than 8 litres left and could have made it. Cool

The computer is only a (very rough) guide, I've rarely checked the mpg and to be honest I'm not bothered. I didn't get the RRS for its economy. Shocked Generally I fill up with the range showing around 50 miles.

Nope. Ran totally fine. In wondered if there is a reserve tank? I guess not. 2022 P440e AB

are you sure the pump was fair? maybe it's cheating on you....

i say that because in the past, I got a free full tank at a pump in the middle of nowhere travelling around europe because it was "overmetering"about 1,3 liters per real liter. Magic was a single word about police phone call because of that "failure".... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
