I got a very good discount at Farnell- but I bought it through Carfile, which means apparently I don't get any invites or any further contact from them, but I can live with that very easily.
Standing around with a glass of crap wine fending off suits waving brochures is not something I yearn for. Rod

Nothing from Peter Vardy for me yet, although the new Sport followed by a new Westminster were bought when they were Town and County.

Well Well Well ......... VIP event my ar e!!

Had my car in at Peter Vardy Aberdeen less than 2 weeks ago and spoke to my usual salesman about poss replacing it. He did some figures and came back with some options for me to consider. In the meantime I got an invite to their special VIP Event which promised extra special discounts beyond what they could normally offer. Hmmm .... Interesting, thinks me, especially with having so very recently been provided with some offers. So today I turn up, the car park guy asks me for my keys... Why? says I ... oh we'll wash your car for you while you're at the event... Oh ok, fair enough says I. So... onward to the event. Some nice cars sitting in the blacked out showroom with discounted prices on the windscreen ... Funny there is the exact car I had looked at and had a deal offered on less that 2 weeks ago. VIP price .... oh what a shock EXACTLY what I had been offered it for back then ! So, no extra deal to be had there then Maybe I'll get a better offer for my car against it then..... nope ..... In fact....... wait for it....... suddenly in less than 2 weeks my car seems to have lost £1500 in value!! WTF ........ NICE ONE Peter Vardy ........ What a brilliant bit of customer relations, now not only am I pretty pi ed off at, what I would term, sharp sales practice but, also you clearly think i look like a sub normal moron!! BRILLIANT .... All the good work and positive customer relations that some of your staff (namely Bryan his team & Gordon in sales, oh yeah, sorry they were all there under Town & County) have put in to building a solid & valued relatioship,
thrown away in an hour... Now I'm left wondering what your definition of a VIP actually is....... Virtually Imbecilic Punter maybe ................ Oh and to add insult to injury when I left and asked for my keys back they hadn't even touched my car .. it was just as mucky as it was when I gave them the keys!! Unbelievable.....
