I had the same kind of problem - I put up with it for a few months thinking it was going to cost big bucks. It turned out to be a temperature sensor in a hose on the coolant system - because it was faulty the car was thinking it was overheating even though there was no warning from the gauge in the car. It's a quick fix & costs about £15 for the part -can't say its definitely the problem but don't rule it out. |

Further to beany's list, it could be the brake pedal switch. That has been known to throw some odd errors when it's on the blink. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
