I used the browse feature and navigated to the album but could find no way of playing the tracks? I clicked the first track but it just stayed on 00:00 and never started playing.

It's a 2012 car and my iPod is an older chunky one, it works quite happily on shuffle and I got it playing via the iPod itself.

Lastly I haven't got a Land Rover cable it's a generic thing could that be the cause?

You shouldn't need the LR cable with your MY of car , I use just the standard apple cable and all is fine.

I will check, but I'm sure I can navigate around on my old iPod 30GB in the car, generally, I tend to connect my BB or the wifes iPhone via Bluetooth, so rarely use it, but I'll check and get back to you  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Cheers, had another go today and it seems to work ok, maybe it just doesn't like M&M!

You will have to excuse Bc's disappearing act, he's getting on a bit and it is probably pension day today, plus he suffers from alzheimer's. I'm sure he will be back to comment, one day.

no problem I think it was just a glitch, its a little annoying that there is no word search to locate stuff when you have over 2000 tracks on your iPod it becomes a little tedious!
