Having owned my SC for nearly 7 years now. I have just found out if you hold the centre button in on the interior lights for around 10 seconds it flashes and you turn all the interior lights off. Good when cleaning the car or leaving the top rear tailgate open for the dogs.

You sure it's a feature and you've not just shorted the electrics  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

It is a feature as you get a message on the dash saying interior lights off/on when you do that to switch them off/on

C10KO i didn't see anything on the dash, but then didn't really look.

You just repeat the process to turn them back on again. Thought it was a good bit of info tho, as I often leave the top tailgate open when parked up.

Thanks a very useful tip saves running the battery flat when picknicking at Ascot and Henley Regatta !!

Personally I always take the classic.........you don't have the picnic table with the sport.

I've replaced my interior bulbs with canbus LED's. These produce a brighter, whiter light with almost no draw on the battery.

While on the subject of lights, are the interior lights in the back supposed to come on when you open the drivers door. Mine don't but if I switch them on and lock the car they stay on permanently is this normal ?

Yes, that is normal behaviour.

There is a mod that can be done to have them work with the other interior lights. '08 RRS TDV8

No - decided on FFRR if I can get the right discount/goodwill - it has lights front and back too

It should for the money though
