There's a lot of threads on here about EGR valves and their failure and various fixes, including using a 2p piece

My question is, do the more recent engines have these and could it be expected that these issues will occur over time, or is it something that is specific to the older generation of engines. Just curious really as my technical knowledge of engines is VERY poor, in fact I only lift the bonnet to put screenwash in and give it a quick spruce up when it's looking a little dusty

I have heard the 3.0 TDV6 also suffers this issue but maybe somebody else can give more detail  Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

Soon all may have the solution available to them It looks like i need to start work on the TDV8 blanking kit and egr delete patch now

Im Beta testing a egr patch for pete at Bell Auto Services on a Euro4 D3 at present Which previously went into limp mode soon as the erg,s were blanked , It also has a BAS remap and only word to describe it is WOW as any customer of petes will testify

Im sworn to Secrecy on the outcome of egr patch at this present time

All I can say is that anyone with egr problems or needs a remap etc ! then you may want to start queuing up at petes door
