Now I am embarrassed to post this I can not fit the front mud flaps. These are genuine parts and when I put the small black brackets on and tried to tighten the screw the screw will not go through and ended by backing the bracket. Any one else found this or am I just a muppet.

I tried with another one and stopped before I broke it. Is there a knack rather than brut force.
