Would You Remap a New RRS V6???

Just thought I'd ask if anyone has or would or care to comment on remapping a new RRS?
Are the remaps better on fuel and performance? or should it be left well alone?
many thanks Thumbs Up If you've got it, spend it!

If you want your warranty to stay intact i would leave well alone but i wouldn't mind having a go in one that has been mapped knowing what a difference it made to my 2.7 sport. If you could get an interface so that you can swap maps then i would consider it but unfortunatly you can't with the new 3.0 engine Big Cry Give pete a ring at bell autos and ask his views on it i believe he has a map for the 2012 model Thumbs Up

Isn't it advised to run it in for a few miles first?

The thing is you are going to be so tempted to test its new power output Laughing I don't think you are going to notice the difference having it remapped so soon after delivery, personally i would clock a few miles up first get everything working nice and sweet then have it remapped and then you will notice the real difference. Thumbs Up

Delivery is meant to be this Friday, that's looking more like Monday - if it is then Im driving it to work and back that a good 600 miles - would have to pop in to Bell on the way back Sad

Personally, as much as I'd love a remap for a fewer more bhp and smoother power delivery (not that the standard output is too shabby at all) I'd not risk it on a brand new car. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Laughing I think fuel savings would be negligable and not really a rationale for choosing a remap IMHO.

How about a spare ECU, one std and one mapped ? In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.
