2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

Tow bar electrical sockets

I was having a gander at the tow bar electrics at the weekend and noticed two electrical multi pin sockets, one either side of a towing eye. Does anyone know what either of these are for.

I assume one is for the trailer light circuit but not sure what the ther could be. Would it be a charging circuit to charge a caravan battery?

Ps. The two black lugs that hold the pastic cover over the sockets Locate into 2 plastic washer/clips that sit behind the bumper. I'm missing one as the black lug just spins without tightening. Again does anyone now wat the part number is please so I can order a couple? TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx

hi sherlock yes its for caravan battery chargeing so you can run fridge on a long run etc . also the 2 black lugs often snap they get brittle with time .they are cheaper from a dealer than internet i paid 20p each
