You don't (hence why it's a great mod )

You need to split the headlight clusters, remove the grey inner, spray it gloss (or matt) black.. then stick it all back together again

10 mins in the oven @ 200 degs (make sure SWMBO is out for the day )

prize the 2 halves apart with oven gloves and a flat headed screwdriver (carefully!)

then a few torx screws later it's all apart and ready to spray

repeat oven treatment to re-attach cluster back together...
