Newby here, but have used the forum for sometime for information.

Im looking after my in laws tdv8 sport at present, and it failed it first MOT last week, with a leaking rear Anti Roll Control unit/stabiliser (as some people refer to them). Just been on the phone to the dealer who has the front ARC unit is also leaking, but awaiting LR's response to have that too done under warranty.

Has anyone got any blown up photos of these units please? As i understand it the body has to come off the chassis for the work to be done.

well an update from dealer.

LR will only replace the rear leaking ARC ram, as the front one was not picked up under the MOT. This is due to the front ARC been hidden behind a cover so therefor the MOT would not have seen it.- visual inspection only.

My father in law took delivery of the vehicle on the 4/3/09, but was an import vehicle. Unknown to us until now, is the dealer in Holland took out the arranty on the 10/2/09, so LR are claiming it is out of warranty, even though the V5 states date of 1st registartion 4/3/09.

The rear ARC Ram is been done as goodwill gesture, however we are still fighting for the front one to be done too under warranty.


anybody else had anything like this happen to them?

Had rear one go - was told that this was a £1.5k part to replace, so given out of warranty not a bad result from LR.

Did you know it was an import when you bought it? MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

The bit you have put is completely out of context,there is a comma and then he goes on to complete the sentence,it's not clear if he knew it was a an import when he bought it which could make a huge difference to his legal position.
I knowingly bought an E320 import from an AD and the UK warranty ran from when it was UK registered! MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.
