No its an extract out of the workshop manual.

Anyone on to cruise

its simple, adaptive cruise control uses all systems, including the breaks to manage the cruise.

Normal cruise doesnt use the breaks and therefore the most it can stop is by limiting fuel and using the torque converter and the drivetrain to add resistance to the forward speed...there is only so far that will slow you. Mike
