When i saw this on the news, the first thing i said to the wife is that google earth has a lot to answer to, they have made it easy for criminals to focus on an area to go burgling Mr. Green i think imo that this may of been a result of google earth, there has been many other cases too, one guy had his garage door open at the time google filmed going past his house only to reveal what he had inside the garage, several day later that got burgled too Mr. Green

Well that rules Google Earth out then, it takes months for the pictures to be uploaded, not days

This is so sad to read..... I am sure they observed the house for some time and realised it was an elderly couple living there... I doubt google maps came into it..... I hope they catch this nasty piece of Censored and put him away for life!

someone arrested in connection yesterday i believe

Yes I agree.... I don't get that... theives drive around all evening and can write down as many number plates as they want.... I think it has something to do with thieves taking your registration and putting it on an exact car and using it for criminal purposes I guess putting a picture of the car and registration on the web makes it easier for them somehow....

Agree with both points here, but at the end of the day, would you rather it be your problem or a dealers problem Question
If someone wants to clone a car, I'd prefer it's not mine so I don't have to deal with the ball ache of it all. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
MERCEDES GL350 - Metallic Navy Blue w/Grey interior

GOING: BMW F31 335D MSport+ xDrive Touring
GONE: Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE - Stornaway Grey w/Black Interior (wish we'd kept it Banging Head )
GONE: BMW F10 520D MSport - Carbon Black
GONE:MY12 RRS SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ivory/Grand Black Privacy glass

Are dealers cars individually insured like mine and yours Question Far easier to twin a plate up thats been seen on the road or net thats for sale, less chance of it getting pulled by ANPR, another good reason not to put your reg plate on the net people are copying them and before you know it you have parking tickets speeding fines or congestion charges coming through the post, i think i'd rather reduce my chances of this happening by not plastering my reg details all over the internet thank you.
